Post-Remediation Clearance Testing

Independent proof the job was actually finished.

Post-remediation verification, or clearance testing, confirms that a completed mold removal project passes before walls are closed. Mold Safe Solutions performs independent clearance testing in San Diego County, including on work performed by other contractors.

What clearance includes

Clearance is a pass/fail decision made against evidence, not a walkthrough opinion. If the space fails, we tell you exactly which criterion failed and what has to change before a retest.

  • Visual verification that contamination and debris were fully removed
  • Moisture content verification of remaining framing and substrate
  • Air sampling inside the containment compared against an outdoor control
  • A written clearance report suitable for landlords, buyers, insurers and attorneys

We will clear another contractor's work

Having the same company perform and pass its own remediation is a conflict of interest. We regularly provide third-party clearance on work performed by restoration companies across San Diego County.

Clearance Testing FAQs

Should the remediation company do its own clearance test?
No. Independent verification is the standard of care, and it is what buyers, insurers and courts expect to see.
What happens if the property fails clearance?
You receive the failing data and the specific reason. The remediation contractor corrects the deficiency and we retest — that is precisely what clearance testing is for.
